Coatzacoalcos

This bridge is close to the town of Coatzacoalcos in the state of Veracruz. The bridge became world wide famous in MX when they built it because people didn't have to cross the river on a ferry anymore. It took many years for it to get done. Due to the efforts of all the people who were involved in the construction of the bridge, the government decided to build a monument representing the fact that with cooperation and determination, man can achieve anything.

Today, the monument is hidden from those who weren't around when the bridge was opened and only the locals know of its existence. It would seem that only dodgy couples come to this place now, hehehe.

This area of the country is rich in oil, banana plantations, coffee, vanilla, mangoes, papaya, watermelon, guavas and many other fruits.
